I’m pleased to report that the film will be having its world premier at Independent Film Festival Boston this month (May 6th – May 16th). This year’s program is entirely online and all films can be streamed by registering over at the festival site.
I provided some historical music arrangements for PBS | American Experience’s film, American Oz, detailing the life and times of author L. Frank Baum—the creator of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and other Oz books.
It’s slowly becoming clear to me that a significant part of my “whole thing” is my apparent compulsion to help people who don’t feel super comfortable talking about music feel more confident talking about music—and, therefore, more likely to collaborate in musical ways with their fellow travelers.
Over the past month or so, I’ve been working away on the original score for a two-episode podcast series, produced by Ben Franklin’s World and the Omohundro Institute, entitled, “The World of the Wampanoag.”
Don’t Every Lie To Anyone—my music project with Jordyn Bonds—has been collaborating with our bud, Noell Dorsey, on five new singles, which we’re releasing one-at-a-time (as we finish them).
I’m pleased to report that the second of those songs, “Break Down” hit the tubes TODAY.
